Learn the art and science of 3D printing through our hands-on workshops.
12 Hours (6 Sessions of 2 Hrs each)
Kids & Young Learners
3 Consecutive Weekends (Sat + Sun)
A fun, hands-on course spread across three weekends - perfect for kids who can't make it to summer camp but still want to learn 3D printing. Two sessions each weekend means plenty of time to experiment, ask questions, and actually build things. By the end, you'll have designed and printed your very own creation.
Learn how a 3D design file gets turned into instructions a printer can follow. We'll tweak settings like speed and layer thickness to see what changes, then kick off our very first print.
Load the plastic, clean the print surface, and get the printer dialled in so that very first layer sticks perfectly. It sounds small, but it makes or breaks the whole print!
Not all 3D printing plastics are the same! Discover different types and when to use each one. We'll also look at how the inside structure of a print affects how strong it ends up being.
Every printer hits a snag sometimes. Learn to recognise common problems - corners lifting off, plastic not flowing right, or a blocked tip - and how to fix them quickly without wasting material.
Measure a real object and design something that actually fits it. We'll cover the little tricks - like leaving a tiny bit of extra space - that make 3D-printed parts work properly in the real world.
See how 3D printing compares to traditional ways of making things, and explore other types of printers beyond what we've been using. We'll also help you figure out what to look for if you ever want to start printing at home.

Adults, No Experience Needed
One Weekend (Sat + Sun)
A focused weekend crash course for adults who want to understand 3D printing without the fluff. Two practical sessions over a weekend - enough to go from complete beginner to operating a printer, designing your own objects, fixing common issues, and knowing exactly what to do next.
Meet the machine - how 3D printing actually works and what it can and can't do. Set up the printer, load the plastic, and get everything ready. Then download a real design, prepare it for printing, and watch your first object come to life. We'll also cover the different types of plastic and when to use each.
Learn to design your own 3D objects using free beginner-friendly software. Take a measurement, turn it into a shape, and print something you actually made. We'll also cover spotting and fixing common print problems, and wrap up with honest advice on buying your own printer and where to go from here.
We offer customized workshops for schools, colleges, and corporate groups. Contact us to design a tailored 3D printing workshop for your specific needs and interests.
