LayerWeaver is a family-owned 3D printing studio based in Pune, India. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect when you place an order or browse our website, how we use it, and who we share it with.
We collect only what is needed to fulfil your order. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
What We Collect
When you place an order or contact us, we may collect:
- Name and delivery address - required to ship your order.
- Phone number and/or email address - to send order confirmations, tracking updates, and respond to queries.
- Payment information - processed securely by Razorpay. We never see or store your card or UPI details.
- Message content - if you contact us via WhatsApp or email for a query or custom order.
We also collect anonymous usage data through Google Analytics (pages visited, device type, region) to understand how our site is used and improve it.
How We Use Your Information
- To process and fulfil your order.
- To send shipping confirmation and tracking details via WhatsApp or email.
- To respond to your queries or support requests.
- To improve our website and product range based on anonymous analytics.
We do not use your information for unsolicited marketing. We will only contact you about your order or a direct query you raised.
Third-Party Services
We use the following trusted third parties to operate our store:
- Shopify - our e-commerce platform, which stores order and product data. Shopify is GDPR-compliant. See Shopify's Privacy Policy.
- Razorpay - processes all payments securely. We do not handle your payment credentials. See Razorpay's Privacy Policy.
- Delhivery / BlueDart / India Post - our shipping partners receive your name and delivery address to fulfil shipments.
- Google Analytics - collects anonymous usage data (no personally identifiable information). See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Firebase (Google) - used for site performance monitoring. No personal data is collected.
Data Retention
We retain order information (name, address, order details) for up to 2 years for accounting and dispute resolution purposes, as required under Indian law. After that period, personal data is deleted or anonymised.
WhatsApp and email conversations are retained as long as needed to resolve any active query or support request.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention obligations.
